Alex Exists Delivers An Extraordinary Debut Album “Everybody’s Famous”
We recently had the distinct honor of checking out Toronto artist Alex Exists and his absolutely stunning debut album “Everybody’s Famous via The Confidence Emperors.
You can listen to “Everybody’s Famous” on Spotify Here and on Apple Music Here
We are not going beat around the bush with this review, Everybody’s Famous “ from the extremely talented Alex Exists is as much of an album as it is a total musical experience.
The album] is a unique set of stories about the complex and often absurd nature of human behaviour, and the need to express our truth and full potential,” says Alex. It’s the tension between these themes that fuel Everybody’s Famous and blends the rebellious, grungy, glammy, punky, and psychedelic sounds into an eight-track punch.

Believe The Hype is a cautionary tale about blindly believing what is popular and trendy and lyrically it takes no prisoners. Satirical poetry set the track apart from its pop kin while Alex and Sam’s vocals work beautifully together. The track’s crowning moment is its catchy and memorable chorus.
Alex Exists releases new single, “With A Bang”
“Realizing the absurdity of their own behaviour, and the emptiness of celebrating an ending purely for its own sake. Overall, With A Bang is booty-shakin’, gothic western twang tune that satirizes the tendency to glamorize endings instead of what may be a somber or reflective moment. It serves as a reminder to approach endings with humility and sincerity.”
Alex Exists Releases the Perfect Spaghetti Western Meets Spy Revenge Film Theme Song, “With A Bang”
The video depicts Alex struggling to escape as twin female assassins kidnap him and throw him into the back of their car. Alex performs the song as multiple shape-shifting demonic hands cling onto him, dragging him into the underworld and clawing to reap their end of the bargain, and he tries to escape the toxic seductive pull. What happens next? Watch to find out…
Satirizing the strange tendency to glamorize destructive endings.
This feel-you-much-better tune is a brisk post-break-up song celebrating the end of a toxic relationship. Its sensual vibe sticks on the spot. Its trancy, breezy and tingling aura puts a smile on your face from left to right and back, and its electrifying flow impacts your body movements. Free at last. The future looks bright again. One more thing: is it weird when I say Pulec‘s voice resembles the one of Mark Oliver Everett, the Eels mastermind?
Toronto artist Alex Exists shares a heavy new single, “Dancing With Chaos.”
Anecdotally, the production on “Dancing With Chaos” embodies a distinctive distorted bass guitar riff as created by using an effect, custom-built and engineered by Scott Fleming and Alex Exists. Based on the iconic discontinued Japanese fuzz pedal, the Shin-Ei Companion FY-2. A guitar effect that was known for its raw, distinctive, gated fuzz. FY-2 pedals are now quite rare.
Alex Exists Unveils Music Video for “Dancing With Chaos”
According to Alex, Everybody’s Famous (Except Me) is similar to “a wrestling match with one’s ego,” narrating a tale of self-discovery in the middle of chaos, channeling the wild energy into a creative process rather than trying to swim against it, letting it eventually drown you.
Alex Exists Shares New Single, “Dancing With Chaos”
“It’s an ode to confronting chaos head on, and having fun with it, instead of running for the hills. It’s a mesmerizing mellotron-driven dirge that paints a vivid pastiche of urban life, and the otherworldliness that lies underneath the facade. Much like the tone and humour in that John Carpenter classic movie, They Live.”
NEWS: ALEX EXISTS IS “DANCING WITH CHAOS” IN CAUSTIC NEW VIDEO
Toronto based alternative artist Alex Exists dropped his new single and video “Dancing With Chaos” earlier today. Crawling with riffs, Alex’s sharp vocals and deep lyrics, the tune goes out to anyone that feels overwhelmed by the state of the media, politics, and the unreal societal expectations they face.
Alex Exists Delights with "Never Christmas Without You"
This is a song for anyone that feels crestfallen during the holiday season,” explains Alex. “Love it or hate it, the holidays bring out a lot of different and often complicated emotions in us all. This is a sentimental song that bites back and evokes a bit of sass towards all those hurtful moments in life. If you’re feeling lonely, like I used to during these times, you might resonate with this song. No matter how tragic life gets for you, there is always an extra seat at our table.”

O cantor Alex Exists não perdeu tempo e já criou seu hino, o single “Never Christmas Without You” com uma pesada melodia rock n’ roll embalada com sons natalinos. This holiday season, Alex is making his first foray into writing a Christmas song. For him, the holiday season has always been melancholic as it coincides with bad memories. This song is inspired by the nostalgia of those memories and having the strength to move on from the pain associated with that loss.
Sam Casey unveils an Alex Exists Remix of “New Company” (Interview)
Drunk dialing your ex — or, worse, that person with whom you were just in a situationship — is never ever a good idea. And while Toronto pop songstress Sam Casey knows that, first she’s going to wrestle with it for a while (like we all do) in her soulful and starkly honest new single, “New Company” – already available but now has a new remix, courtesy of Alex Exists.
Toronto’s Alex Exists Releases First Single
“If I was going to do a rendition of a golden age rock and roll classic, I knew I had to launch it into orbit with an unexpected modern twist,” said Alex. “I was inspired by this idea that if aliens came to earth, years after rock and roll had died, found this record, fell in love with it, took it back to their planet and started making their own interpretations of it, how might it sound?”

ALEX EXISTS has DAVID ESSEX’ Rock On, covered
The DNA of all your favorite post-punk offbeat-pop singles from the likes of Adam and the Ants, Murray Head, Shakin’ Stevens, and, perhaps, the weirdly addictive Taco can be traced back to the Glam movement of the early to mid-1970s. A seminal era when jukebox heroes such as Gary Glitter and Alvin Stardust were making sounds that would influence a slew of future artists. And there’s an album from that timeframe that may not get all the adulation from newer generations it deserves. David Essex’s 1973 masterclass, “Rock On”. But you already knew all this.
